  What is a successful launch?

A successful product launch is one that achieves your launch goals within your budget set out in your initial planning phase. These goals will vary greatly based on your intended outcome. Your intended outcome will need to be in alignment with the size of your current email list or audience base and the relationship you have with them.
A successful product launch creates buzz, builds brand awareness, builds or strengthens relationships and ultimately makes sales. This is all accomplished through creating a story line that revolves around your audience desires. You need to ensure that you get the offer right by meeting those desires.

Email is used as one of the prime communication vehicles during your launch. If you don't currently have an email list, part of the launch success may be defined as building a list or strengthening the relationship you have with your list. If you already have a list, building the list may not be as important as re-establishing a strong relationship with your current list. Then of course there is the monetary success element to consider. A launch should be considered successful if the knowledge and feedback gained from your audience during the launch process has assisted you in creating a better product tailored to their needs and wants, has created a stronger relationship with your audience.
