What is an opt-in launch list? When a user submits their information to receive free information or follow your launch an email list is created. The action of a user voluntarily supplying their information (say name and email) is referred to as opting in to your email list. When you set a requirement for the user to confirm the original opt-in by making it mandatory to confirm an email that is sent to the email address supplied when originally opting in, this is referred to as double opt-in or an opt-in confirmation. This ensures the integrity of your list preventing bogus email addresses from ending up on your list.
